ALASKA EXPEDITION GALLERY

On this trip we spend 6 nights in the backcountry photographing one of the most beautiful places in Alaska.

This is truly one of the grandest destinations in Alaska, with fantastic opportunities for landscape and wildlife photography. We’ll have beautiful campsites, great hiking, and scenery without par. We offer this trip as a fully-outfitted and catered trip (all gear and food provided) or an available discount rate for those folks who will bring their own gear and food.

About

Day 1
Anchorage to Denali National Park
Spend the night at Denali National Park – (start the “Search for Aurora” )
DAY 2
Spend the morning hiking at the park trails - Horseshoe Lake Trail.
Hiking Distance: 1.4 miles one way

Time: 2, 3 hours
Elevation Gain: 300 feet
See the lake and beavers

At the end of the day drive to Fairbanks, destination - Chena Hot Springs Resort.
At night continue our search for the AURORA BOREALIS , The Northern Lights!!
DAY 3
Fairbanks – Explore the city of Fairbanks Return to Chena Hot Spring- Enjoy a nice bath at 104 F at the Hot springs At night the search for the Northern Lights continues!
Day 4
Fairbanks to Matanuska Glacier Recreation Area Drive to Matanuska Glacier , stop in Castner Glacier for a ICE CAVE Hiking Hiking Distance: 1.2 miles one way Time: 1.5 hours Elevation Gain: 100 feet Explore the beautiful Ice cave Ending our day journey at Matanuska Glacier Recreation Area
DAY 5
Guided Glacier Tour 10am - Meet the guides from Matanuska Glacier Tour and explore the glacier, Ice caves and terrain at Matanuska Glacier. Tour last about 3 hours. After the tour we will drive to Byron Glacier Hike Byron Glacier Mileage: 2.4 mi Elevation: 1572 ft Duration – 2,3 hours Once completed camping on Byrd Creek Campground.
DAY 6
After breakfast, I returned to Anchorage.
